🚨 The short version
Tippy is experimental BETA software. It can break. It probably will break. If you put money in, you can lose ALL of it, and nobody is going to give it back.
Only ever put in pocket change you are completely fine with never seeing again. If losing it would sting, do not deposit it. That is the whole rule.
The brutally honest version
- Tippy was vibe coded. It was built fast, largely with AI help, by a tiny team. It has been tested, but "tested" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. There are bugs in it that nobody has found yet. One of them might have your name on it.
- It might just stop working. Bots crash. Servers reboot. APIs go down. Tippy could be offline for an hour, a day, or forever, right when you want your money.
- Your balance is a number in a database. Tippy is custodial: your tips live in a shared wallet controlled by the software. If the software misbehaves, or the database corrupts, or a human makes a fat fingered mistake, balances can be wrong or gone.
- Crypto does not have an undo button. Deposits and withdrawals run on Solana. Send to the wrong address and it is gone forever. There is no bank, no chargeback, no manager to speak to.
- SOL swings wildly. The coin itself can drop 20 to 30 percent while you sleep. Your balance can be worth far less tomorrow even if Tippy works perfectly.
- There is no support department. There is no insurance, no FDIC, no ombudsman, no rescue team. There is this warning page. This page is the safety system.
About the $23 you are about to lose
One day somebody will write to us, furious, saying "I lost $23!" And the answer will be: yeah. That is exactly what this page said would happen. The warning was not fine print, it was not hidden, it has hazard stripes on it.
So before you deposit, ask yourself one question: if this exact amount of money vanished tonight, would I shrug? If the answer is anything other than an easy yes, close this tab and go do literally anything else.
